The parts treated with induction heat treatment equipment have good comprehensive mechanical properties. The induction heating furnace has been applied to various important structural parts, especially the connecting rods, bolts, gears and shafts operating under alternating load. However, the surface hardness is low and not wear-resistant.
The practice has proved that the heat treatment of the automobile exhaust pipe is carried out by using the intermediate frequency induction heating technology, the environmental pollution is small, the production efficiency is high, and the cost can also reach the level corresponding to the gas; and if the heat treatment is used in a small amount of use electricity, the cost is lower. At the same time, if the reasonable process parameters are selected, the process is well controlled, and the straightening process can be omitted.
Induction heating technology was used in military, automobile, machinery and other industries in our country, and then gradually expanded to metallurgical industry. In the early 1980s, Shougang Special Steel Company began to use intermediate frequency heating technology in China to adjust and tempering 45MoMnB, 40CrMo, 40Mn2Mo and 45# steel pipes, softened heat treatment of GCr15 steel pipe in cold working, solid solution heat treatment of 5Cr21Mn9Ni4N steel pipe. T10A, 20Mn2 and 20# steel bars were annealed and heat treated, and good results were obtained.
