Reasonable adjustment of steel heat treatment furnace to solve quenching defects in heat treatment
In the heat treatment process, the parts quenching temperature distribution of steel heat treatment furnace is uneven. Do you know the reason? If the rotating speed and moving speed of the parts are not uniform when the parts are quenched, it will certainly affect the hardening hardness of the induction heat treating furnace to heat the workpiece, and cause the uneven hardness of the parts, or the soft area on the surface of the parts. The quenching speed of steel heat treatment furnace parts is uneven, which may cause partial parts overheating, resulting in hardening or cracking of workpiece.
As for the quenching soft area problem, we take the shaft as an example to explain briefly. When the heat treatment furnace is used for quenching the shaft parts, it is easy to encounter a defect of a helical soft area, which is mainly caused by improper operation.
If the induction coil height of the steel heat treatment furnace is not enough, the distance between the bus power is too large, the rotating speed and the moving speed of the parts are not coordinated, the angle of the water jet hole in the steel heat treatment furnace is not consistent, and the position eccentricity in the induction coil will cause the uneven hardness.
The solution to heat the shaft part quenching soft area for the induction heat treating furnace
1.If the induction coil height is not enough, the inductor has oxide skin. The inductor height should be increased and the inductor of the steel induction heat treating furnace should be cleaned regularly.
2.If the distance between the bus bars is too large, you can adjust the distance between the bus bars is 1~3 mm.
3. When using intermediate frequency induction equipment to harden parts, the rotational speed and the moving speed do not match, which will form soft area. The speed of the parts and the moving speed of the parts should be adjusted. When the moving speed of the parts is 1~24mm/min, the speed of the parts n=60v can avoid the formation of the quenching soft area.
4. The angle of the water hole is not consistent. If the adjustment is not good, the inductor needs to be replaced.
5.If the part is not in the middle of the induction coils, you should adjust the position of part to make each side gap is the same. If the parts bend too much, it should be straightened before the heat treatment.
