Billets, or ingots (as they sometimes referred to), are not of practical use until they have been formed into more functional shapes and sizes. While they have already been put in the furnace, they still require a series of shaping and molding procedures such as hot and cold working, milling and cutting before they are sold in hardware stores, or used for different applications. The unformed billets, however, can be used in striking currency such as coins and as reserves, similar to gold bars.
After billet charging from CDM(continuous casting machine), we need to increase the heat of billet online, usually from 600-700 ℃,and then increase to 1100-1200 ℃ for rolling mill. The size can be 75 mm*75 mm, 120 mm*120 mm. 130 mm*130 mm, 150 mm*150 mm and so on.
